About Millbridge Press
Millbridge Press publishes beautifully made books rooted in lived experience, honest storytelling and the memories that shape us.
Our beginning
It started with Luna
Millbridge Press was created to give special stories the time, care and individual attention they deserve. Its first title, Luna’s Lovely Life, grew from the true story of a much-loved rescue dog and the family life she transformed.
What began as a personal act of remembrance became a book for other children and families: a celebration of rescue, companionship, adventure and the love that remains after goodbye.
What matters to us
Books made with purpose
Care
Thoughtful writing, considered design and close attention to how every book feels in the reader’s hands.
Connection
Books that help readers recognise something of their own lives, loves and experiences.
The author
John Tosh
John Tosh is the author and designer of Luna’s Lovely Life. Luna was his own rescue dog, and the book draws on the real adventures, friendships and family memories that filled her life.
He created the book both as a loving record of Luna and as a gentle companion for children and adults facing the loss of an animal they love.
